This week’s show is dedicated to our spirited friend and fellow dancemusic/wickedcrew/noisefromthevoid devotee Boly Urvak, who is recovering from a serious car wreck. He is comatose and suffering some major brain trauma, but is breathing by himself. If his spirit’s out there - somewhere in the VOID - we’re gonna deliver him a message, a simple message - get well Boly!

Btw - you can donate to his get well fund, even purchase a ‘Get Well Boly’ t-shirt from urvak.com. The site’s in Spanish but it’s very easy to figure out how to paypal the $$..

And on a technical note - any PC users who’ve updated to the latest version 10 of the flash plugin may not be able to connect using the large PLAY button on the 90hz site or in my posts. You’ll still be able to listen, just follow the instructions on the 90hz frontpage for other ways to connect. But it’s also possible the 90hz button will be fixed and functioning normally by Tuesday, I’ll keep you updated..

It’s been 30 years since Jonestown. I recall it happening when i was a child, have read several accounts of it over the years, and watched a couple of documentaries too, but I’d never listened to this 45 minute recording made in Jonestown right before the massacre..

I can’t say I enjoyed listening to it. I didn’t. But I do think it’s worth checking out. It’s hard if not impossible to fathom the surreal nature of what transpired on that fateful day - November 18, 1978. But listening to the recording brought an element of reality to it, that hadn’t existed before, at least not in my mind. And has maybe helped me bridge some of the gap between the surreal and real nature of the terrible tragedy..
