4 hours of musical wickedness, strung together on-the-fly by yours truly. A lil’ more tightly mixed and beat driven than the last few shows, it starts out with The Quiet Village remix of The Black Devil Disco Club, goes into some Vangelis, some Reverso 68, an old Jeno house classic, a Todd Terje remix of Force of Nature, and then into a continuing back-and-forth mix of contemporary dance beats along with a whole bunch of old house, garage and disco. Even a few 80’s dance jams thrown in near the end. Everything from Mike Perras to Serge Santiago, from Octave One to Ilya Santana, from Larry Heard to PIL. There’s about 45 seconds of silence at the beginning that I forgot to chop off, and the recording gets a bit crunchy in places, but unless you’re a tweeked out audiophile, that aint gonna matter. Enjoy.. : )
don’t feel like I got to spin for long enough this weekend, so tonite I’ll be continuing the dancefloor atmosphere by mostly spinning from the same box of vinyl treats I took out to my gigs with me. Let’s rock!

I saw a young snake glide
Out of the mottled shade
And hang, limp on a stone:
A thin mouth, and a tongue
Stayed, in the still air.
It turned; it drew away;
Its shadow bent in half;
It quickened and was gone
I felt my slow blood warm.
I longed to be that thing.
The pure, sensuous form.
And I may be, some time.

Starts out with Harvey’s cheeky & complete reworking of Michoacan’s “2 Bullets”, then drifts into some rock and soul, some disco and balearic, some italo, nu-disco, house, disco punk, more rock, more italo, some funk inspired post-punk & 80’s, some boogie, garage, more house, more disco, more garage and on and on it goes. Almost 4 hours of very loosely mixed musical gems, best listened too uninterrupted as it gets more enjoyable the more it unravels.. : )
It’s only a simple & rough demo mix, but dj Buck has kindly offered to lay down a live drumtrack. Once that’s done we will do some re-recording, mix it down properly, and shop it around to get it released..
join me this week, as we take a heart pounding musical adventure - to explore what flourishes at the heart of the dangerous yet alluring void. Punk funk, boogie, garage, disco, rock and other cosmic treats..
